Mahamaya Restaurant - Dishpur

It was a rainy evening and we were craving a good cup of tea. So we decided to visit a place called Food Villa that served 'kullarh wali chai', which is tea served in an earth cup. Unfortunately, they had switched to tea bags, which many of us dislike. Disappointed, we then stumbled upon a quaint old restaurant called Mahamaya. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by an elderly man at the counter. He served us tea, naan, rasgulla, and a double omelette. The tea was absolutely perfect! We ended up ordering another round. Despite the minimalistic furniture, the restaurant was very clean and tidy. We were delighted with the delicious tea and the relaxed atmosphere. As we left, the elderly man told us that the restaurant was almost 99 years old. It was a shame to think that a place like this, if it were in Mumbai, would have been turned into something like Leopold or Cafe Mondegar.

We were greeted by a friendly elderly man at the counter who served us tea, snacks, rasgulla, and a double omelette. The tea was exquisite and we ended up ordering another round. The restaurant had simple furniture but was very clean and tidy. We were delighted to find such great tea and a serene atmosphere. As we left, the elderly man mentioned that the restaurant was almost 99 years old, which was a shame as similar places in Mumbai would have been turned into more modern establishments.
