Thai orchid dine in & takeaway - DJUGUN

Our group chose to dine here after reading the recent reviews on TripAdvisor. Wish we had tried the other Thai in town now. The service was ok and the food was really average. The ginger chicken stir fry, Pad Thai and Thai green chicken curry were the better dishes of the night but still far from other Thai restaurant quality I've had. The Satay chicken tasted nothing like it should and from first sighting appeared to be just a chicken dish with curry powder through it. There was no peanut taste at all and it was really bland. The menu read it was a home made satay sauce but I question the 'home made' ingredients. The seafood stir fry was the worst dish of the night. There was a really strong seafood taste which I would suggest is from the frozen imported seafood that was used. There were only 2 prawns and 2 scallops in the dish so mostly vegetables and it also contained seafood extender which we were horrified with. I have never seen a Thai restaurant include this in a dish ever. We brought it to the attention of the waitress who then got the chef to come out. He asked us what was wrong with the dish which by the way was hardly touched and when we said there should not be frozen and fake seafood used at all he just said it was hard to get fresh seafood here in Broome and he hadn't been here that long. Are you kidding me? It's better to take it off the menu than serve what was on that dish. Upon paying the bill, we saw nothing was taken off and we were charged for all of our food which we settled in full. Hoping to have a better experience at the next Thai restaurant.

Basic Thai Food which was tasty. BYO corkage $3.00 which was pretty good! Will try another Thai Restaurant in Broome to compare.

I went here for work function. Firs time being here i found the place is really nice how its all set up to be like thailand, i was really looking forward to my meal as everyone says" You have to try there meals" but i was just little disappointed in my meal the vegies were obvisouly frozen ones and my chicken was still pink! Telling the waitress about my meal she kept saying its fine? No thanks. How can someone eat pink chicken!??

Excellent Thai Restaurant. Service was quick & food was delicious. Decor a bit drab but food was lovely.

We had a meal here based on what we read on tripadvisor and was glad we did, the service was A1 and food incredibly nice, the only let down was the crappy old orange chairs, black and silver table cloths, brown floor tiles and blue curtains... Nothing at all matched! But if you can see past the decor you will have a great meal. This place is not licenced so best to BYO
