The Friary - Dornoch Highlands

I highly recommend visiting The Friary in Beauly. The team there is fantastic and the food is delicious, especially the proper chips! The service is fast and organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stopped in for fish and chips on our way home. I mentioned that we don't live nearby, and Connor kindly wrapped our food in foil to keep it warm until we got home. The food was delicious and we will definitely return. Fantastic service. Highly recommend.

My son and I decided to take a trip to Beauly for dinner after hearing about the haggis special. We absolutely loved it! It was well worth the journey, and we even treated ourselves to some ice cream. The staff there tonight were lovely.

We were attended to by two young women who seemed put off to serve foreigners. Any questions we asked about the food (such as portion size) was met with snickers and looks of dumbfoundedness. Once our ordering was complete, the young women, in plain sight of us, started talking about us and laughing at us. Not what an out of town family would expect on holiday. The food was GREAT, however the unwelcomeness overshadowed the entire meal.

Sausage suppers and chips were lovely but unfortunately the fish was awful 3 of us had fish and it was old and definitely did not taste fresh. We also paid for a single white pudding which failed to make it into the order but I paid for it according to the receipt. Not a great end to the holiday.
