Great little place to stop for a bite to eat service was amazing. Nice to sit and look at the view and not be in a rush.

It was 9:30am when we googled ‘open restaurants now’, and it lead us to Zachary’s (after looking for some possible crown land campsites outside Dorset). The restaurant has been around for 42 years, and no wonder it has very homey feeling to it—the decor, rattan furnitures, the 70s music and that superb lake view! I can’t help but feeling nostalgic on what it was like to dine here four decades ago. The menu is simple. My hubs had toast, eggs bacon coffee. I had French toast and sausages tea, the portions were not big and neither small—just perfect! We also ordered a prime rib burger to go, and it was amazing! The gentleman (owner) spends time to converse with the patrons, and the lady (owner) who cooked and served our breakfast was so sweet! It was our first time to come here and will never be the last. We will definitely coming back here in winter time. What made our experience here so special is that both my hubs and I thought that food was cooked and served WITH CARE! Thank you for the hospitality!
