The food at The Sheaf used to be excellent, but it has significantly declined in quality. While it remains a great pub for drinks, I'm not eager to dine there again due to the noticeable decrease in food quality. It appears that they may have cut back on staff and costs, possibly due to pressure from the pub's owners. The food, particularly the steaks and vegetables, was not prepared well and lacked proper cooking. I used to enjoy dining there with my family, but I would not recommend it anymore.
This restaurant is extremely pricey, even more so than ones in Rose Bay. However, the spacious surroundings are pleasant and much nicer than the smelly Royal Oak, despite the fact that it is somehow even more expensive.
Great pub with out door seating. Friendly staff. Good ambience. We went for drinks 2 days on the trot. Staff very friendly. Ashwin remembered my drink and arranged for a fresh bottle of Oban and a Chilli Margarita for my wife.
Don’t go here if you have any common sense. Kicked out after one drink while drinking water. Security staff on a power trip here, they have little else to give them satisfaction
