Perhaps the chef had a bad day...it was Sat night Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
I have ordered from this restaurant several times now. The staff is wonderful and will accommodate picky eaters like myself. It is always my first choice. I usually spend between £10-20 per person for dinner. The food is excellent and the service is top-notch. I highly recommend trying the Pillow Rice, Nan, Bombay Aloo, and Tikka dishes.
Order came on time but really disappointed to find the food is not really what you order. Chicken vindaloo definitely not even hot, not even madras heat, just mild to medium. Four of the eight pieces in the chicken were potato. If I wanted potato I would order Bombay aloo. Usually expect the odd chunk of tomato or onion or potato but not as much as this. Yea I could ring and complain but my meal was ruined and telling the owner doesn’t help me and not writing this review doesn’t warn others to the tricks taken to save money in the restaurants food costs.
Cannot praise Chutney Masala highly enough. We've just had lamb madras, coconut rice, aloo Gobi with onion salad and chappatis. Absolutely perfect every time and very generous portions of everything! They gave us some poppadoms and even they are perfect! Well done Chutney Masala Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner
