Brickstones Grill - Downey

Checked into the hotel on a Monday night, went down for dinner, only thing open was the bar, and the menu at bar was very limited. Not my idea of a nice quiet dinner after traveling all day, listening to a bunch of drunks and sports on tv. Went next door to a quiet sit down restaurant.

Me and my son got a delicious pepperoni pizza. It was incredible!! I was told Tha it’s pricy and blah blah blah but DAMN!! I was soooo happy with how delicious it was and my son being a pizza lover definitely enjoyed this one.

Karaoke DJ Roxy Girl is adorable and amazing. She is extremely professional and spends special time making everybody feel comfortable getting on stage. She is especially attentive to us slower moving folks, shy ones, and those with less confidence. She actually spends time talking to people and helping them pick the songs. LOL The ceasar salad was surprisingly good. The pizza was passable. The chicken wings were fantastically fresh and scrumptious. They must have hired new staff because they were running around like Speedy Gonzales tending to the customers needs. This cute gem of a Karaoke place is so different than others. It's classy, elegant, and delicately sensitive. KDJ Roxy Girl is the perfect fit for this scene.

Waited 10 minutes STARING at the two bartenders in order to get service, trying to flag them down. There were literally 5 people at the bar. Received no acknowledgment. Will never go here again.

This place is a hidden gem on Saturday nights. If you love good drinks, appetizers, and karaoke this is where it's at. Show starts at 7pm. Get there early because seats run out fast. They had the best karaoke dj, the books were on point and she was very professional. They called her G-train from what I hear she is one of the best. Secondly that bar tender Drink master Brandon!! Oh my God I just asked him to make me something creative and every drink he had created was my new favorite. Steak dinner was on point, the steak pizza was too. And I also heard through a little birdie the wings were off the chain. Residents of Downey don't sleep on this spot you will be disappointed that you missed out.
