There are some other distilleries in this area, so we drove to them first before realizing that the cidery was near the entrance. The counter is right by the entrance; that day there were about 10 people in front of us, including a bachelorette party. We chose a flight of 4 ciders and took them to a picnic table inside. While we enjoyed our selection of ciders (especially the Tepache, their pineapple wine), we felt that they would have been better ice cold. I did talk to one of the staff, and he said there were plans to get the space air conditioned down the road. I approve of this decision, as we would enjoy the drinks in a cooler environment.
What a spur of the minute stop and so glad we did! We were on the way to Fredericksburg and saw a sign along the road for a cidery. My husband and I both love cider, so we figured it was worth a detour, if for nothing else than to stretch our legs. Boy was it ever! This is a small local business and the bartender was really helpful. She was knowledgeable about the ciders and even let us sample one because we weren 't sure. We settled on a cider flight, which we both enjoyed. We shared because we didn 't plan on spending too long there, but in the future, we would each get our own and settle in for a few hours. There were board games available to play that you could bring to your table. We were there on Labor Day Weekend and it wasn 't super crowded. It was super hot out, but they did a relatively good job of cooling off the (for lack of a better word) barn. It is not air-conditioned.
Excellant place to go with friends and recommend for anyone wanting a good cider have outdoor seating area to relax cider is beyond outstanding highly recommend for new comers
Not sure why anyone would give it less than four stars. I'm having a great time. It's a classic Texas barn and it's perfect. It's priced very reasonably and it's a good time. Come visit here!
Came Upon this place when exploring the area. The location is great because it is next to a brewery and a distillery. I gave it a three because of their customer service. We weren't given any instruction and felt a little confused at first. We had never been to a cidery, so we were excited to try them out. We got one flight that came with four ciders. The servings are pretty big for a tasting, so they are easy to share. Out of the four, I only liked one. I am not a big fan of sweet stuff, but their ciders were a little bitter even for me. The place is small, but has a nice outdoor areas with patio picnic tables. It is a dog friendly establishment.
