Neither of us found any starters appealing, so we decided to skip them. We suggested adding chicken wings to the menu. For our main courses, we chose burgers, which we would rate a 5 out of 10. The chips had an unpleasant aftertaste. The Porn Star cocktail did not come with Prosecco on the side, and the Heineken was almost spilling over the top of the glass, possibly due to spillage. On a positive note, all the staff were very friendly and polite. The location is also excellent, especially if you are at The Point.
The stand out point of our visit today was the service. Staff have radios and had us served each course in record time. Every staff member was extremely attentive and were overseen by a very attentive and observant manager. My only criticism was that the menu seemed very limited! But overall, I'd definitely recommend.
Myself and my daughter ate here before attending a concert. It was very disappointing. My daughter is a coeliac. We advised the waiter. The only option was the bolognese and they gave us rice noodles instead of pasta. The noodles arrived clumped together...not nice! Chips are not cooked separately so she could not have those either. She had the brownie for dessert which was gluten free but when served came with a biscuit crumb that was not gluten free. We had to ask for this to be replaced. I had hake which was nice. We were served by 4 different servers and had to chase for the bill. I found it to be overpriced. Breakfast was nice and coeliac was well catered for.
We came here before a concert. The food was delicious, the staff was very attentive, and we really enjoyed our experience!
Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant after this experience. We usually book this restaurant before going to events, but our upcoming booking for next week has been cancelled. I was informed a few days before our reservation that the restaurant would be closed, but we would be accommodated in a different dining area with the same menu. When we arrived, the servers seemed confused about how to check us in and there was a general sense of disorganization in managing customers. The evening continued to go downhill when a manager/supervisor asked for our name for the reservation and then walked away without helping us further. After finally receiving a menu, we noticed it was a limited selection and did not match what was available at the restaurant we had booked. When I brought this up to the manager, he was unhelpful. We ended up ordering pizza since it was the only suitable option. Despite repeatedly asking for the drinks menu, it took a while for us to receive it and even longer for our drinks to arrive. The manager did not check on our table or ensure that everything was okay. The food eventually arrived, but our drinks were still missing. After 45 minutes, my sister spoke to another manager who apologized and brought our drinks, although my order was incorrect. She comped the drinks and apologized again. The manager never checked in on us or asked about the food, only running over to collect the tip. The pizza was average at best and overpriced, while the dessert was enjoyable. Overall, this experience left a bad impression and we will not be returning, especially when there are other restaurants with better service, food, and atmosphere. It was disappointing to see inexperienced servers left to manage while managers stayed on the sidelines.
