Ambience and display is fair/good...Food taste okish , some undercooked stuff, and they badly need appropriate crockery for dishes..I mean how can we eat typical asian gravy in a flat plate.!!? 2024 1 Star Most horrible experience ever in Dunlin today, 16th March 2024, in Iftar Buffet. Food was held back to manage cost. Place cramped, over crowded and dishes were not being filled on purpose! Total waste!! Staff and owner were all overwhelmed and projecting on each other for mistakes and mishandling last trip regretting. 2023 4 Star Awesome Eid festively food. Kachouri’s by Shaheen were the highlight : Reminded of Eid back home in Pakistan!! Deserts could have been much better; overall food scene is worth the money and getting better in each visit! During our recent visit to Vela, we had a positive dining experience. The buffet featured a diverse selection of Indian and Pakistani dishes, ranging from starters to mains. While not every dish was exceptional, most were satisfying and delicious. The live counter for naan and poori was a good addition to the meal. There were plentiful dessert options and there was a good variety for vegetarians. The place maintained good hygiene standards, contributing to a comfortable dining atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal. Considering the reasonable pricing and the range of offerings available, Vela is a must try.
