Nelson House - Dubois

Blah! cold-centered pot sticker...no taste. should immediately turn left before the odor of flourtau is beaten into our nasen holes. one and ready.

On the advice of my friend jeff baronick my aunt and I had dinner here. my first time in the nelson, eating, service and casual atmosphere are absolutely great. I have to compete with jeff, they offer among the best means of living on the planet! Alex is fantastic, eat and drink, she delivers everything! you eat, superb! if you are looking for delicious food, then I highly recommend to give the nelson house a try while in dubois! many thanks for a wonderful meal and a beautiful time!

We ordered 4 adult meals, and because there is no kids' meals, an appetizer' of chicken fingers and a side of spaghetti for our 2 children to share. That plus the 2 drinks we ordered was over $110. I found that price to be unjustified by both the quality and the quantity of the food. We started with a glass of wine and an old fashioned that was neither well made nor particularly good. We got the fried fish, which was a large portion and a good dish. An order of beef tips and gravy, which was pieces of meat with giant chunks of peppers and onions more akin to shish-kabobs, and a water gravy' with literally no flavor. Chicken scampi, and seafood scampi. The shrimp seemed plentiful and decent, but the dishes themselves were just relatively small portions of pasta with a ton of butter and chunks of garlic. The chicken scampi had thin pieces of soggy-breaded chicken in it. All in all, it just wasn't worth the cost of it to have dishes that I could have easily made, and made better, at home. We were disappointed and would likely not eat here again.
