What a delight this little place is. Set in a beautiful garden farm environment with an eclectic air.High tea style savoury lunch with lovely fruit punch supplied on arrival.Staff/ owner was very attentive with nothing a problem and full of information about the local area.
My mother, daughter and I enjoyed a lovely mid week high tea at this pretty venue. When we looked at the menu online we thought we had to choose from one of the three stands but everything on the menu was supplied.I noticed in a previous review someone complaining about the cost. I have tried numerous high teas in Sydney and this is very cheap in comparison. Also the fact that you can BYO with no corkage makes it very reasonable.Everything that came out was delicious and although the servings that came out were typically high tea sized it was obvious before we got to the sweets that we would need a doggy bag.The atmosphere and quirky chinaware made the experience very special, only enhanced by the lovely owner who prepared and served all the food. The only thing I would mention is that this high tea does not come with a tea menu.I would recommend this to everyone as a lovely experience with a beautiful outlook.PS we came via Raymond Terrace and the drive in the country just added to the experience.
Minutes from the historic town of Morpeth at Duckenfield is a beautiful High Tea Venue situated in a beautiful country garden. The food is absolutely delicious and just as you thought you had finished more was bought out to savour and enjoy. There was such a good selection we ended up taking "doggie Bags" with us. We were a big bus group and ate inside the lovely cottage on the grounds itself and you could not fault the service.
A group of 10 went to celebrate a few birthdays. The location was lovely, the room was small and very noisy with all of the tables full. The staff were efficient but I wouldn't say over friendly. When the food came out I was very disappointed! the food was very basic that any home cook could provide. The soup was very nice, the turkey pinwheel was some pressed meat, there were two offerings on puff pasty one was dried out pulled pork... remembering these are bites size pieces! I could not taste the chorizo in the frittata. The gelato, panna cotta & sticky date were nice but the others were so small you could barely get a taste. For $55 ahead (you must pay cash) I expected a much more professional offering. One of the guests was gluten intolerant and she was catered for.....
