This is a nice friendly village chippy and the food is cooked freshly the haddock and battered chips on Wednesday,s only are too die for. Staff are always friendly , cheerful and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.
Overall it's very dirty. NEVER any chips ready even when it's just opened staff very impolite and unapologetic bordering on rude. There are lots of other chip shops in the area, please do yourself a favour and go to one of those. Don't waste your time and money with this one!
My wife and I decided to try a new fish and chip shop as our previous one kept going down hill. There was a note in the window saying “frying new potatoes” so I went in. When the chips appeared I should have asked for my money back at that point. I don’t know why I didn’t. I must have been in shock! Two large cod and one chips and £10.30 lighter I took the meal home. The fish was ok...a little over cooked and too much batter but not bad. However, I couldn’t explain the chips colour to my wife. God only knows what they had been cooked in! My advise...try to find another shop. Don’t say you’ve not been warned. If you’re into orange chips, this is the place for you!
Live very local to here and although we don’t eat fish and chips very often if we do we go here. Plenty of parking and food is always lovely. Especially try Saturday night “orange chips” they are lovely
