The Silvery Tay - Dundee City

I had an incredible dinner at this restaurant. The fish and white pudding were the best I've had in a long time. The food arrived quickly and the service was excellent. I will definitely be ordering from here again and will be recommending it to my friends. Thank you!

Two small fish and chips ordered. Must have been at least eight staff serving. It was organised chaos. Asked for salt and vinegar, I saw her putting it on but the salt must have been empty as there was no taste of salt. The batter on the fish was thick and floury and not tasty at all. This used to be the best fish and chip shop in town but can't beet Tailend with lovely crispy batter!

Chips not bad but fish was dry and gray. Charge the same as Marco’s in Arbroath. Service was slow slow that next time I’ll drive there for a decent fish.

After Marini's at weekend, thought we needed a descent fish supper to share. Cost £9.50 so thought it would be good. £3 more than Marini's and not much better. Chips small, warm but not that crisp. Fish curled at ends so not that thick. Probably if they used bigger potatoes and part cooked them, they would always be able to cook hot crispy chips. Looks like we will just have to go to Scone if we want a consistently hot crisp fish supper, with a chunky fish fillet.

I stayed nearby for a workshop and decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews. The Fish Supper was amazing, even better than the one I had in Anstruther! The price was great and the staff were very friendly.
