Trattoria Salve - Durham

I have to start by saying the lasagna was amazing! I also tried four different cocktails, which weren't as great. The Caesar salad I ordered was half portion for $4, while my friend ordered a full portion for $8 and they were nearly the same size. The full salad should definitely be larger for the price. The cannoli was not to my taste, I didn't like the cheese flavor in it. Our server seemed new and kept checking on us every 5 minutes, which was unpleasant. It was frustrating as our conversation was constantly interrupted. However, she did give good suggestions for drinks and food. The lasagna and cocktails earned the restaurant a 3-star rating.

The place was nice enough and the service was ok, but the food was not very good we all ordered The Bolognese Pasta dish and it was dry, did not fit the description that was described on the menu and tasted old!

I had a great meal with a friend at this restaurant. The new menu offers a variety of pasta dishes, dinners, and flatbreads.

Trattoria Salt is fantastic! The food is delicious, with a savory tomato sauce that sets it apart from other Italian restaurants. The staff, especially Evan and Dustin, are amazing. They are knowledgeable about wines and cocktails, and can recommend the perfect pairing for any dish on the menu.

We visited during Sunday brunch. There were only 2 other groups dining it was an hour before closing and staff was limited. It took quite a while to place our order since the one server was busy with a large table. But the server was very friendly/helpful, and the food was amazing. The kitchen took a little longer than I would have liked to prepare the food, but I also know they make everything to order and I can appreciate that. We ordered the vegan pizza and the mushroom foragers delight both really tasty. I will definitely be back.
