I recently visited Boise Idaho for work and play. Banbury was the second of three public courses I played during my visit. I'm sad I didn't take any pics of this very nice, well kept parkland style course.Banbury GC is about 20 mins from downtown Boise Idaho. Not a problem taking an UBER there but expect to wait for a ride to pick you up.The course is well framed by beautiful contemporary homes within a suburb of Twin Rivers. Overall, the course is well laid out. It has enough room, views, and features to challenge the beginner to advanced players. And easily walkable.Though the fairways are forgiving, undulations, large ponds, creeks, hills, trees and tall grasses has you think twice about how you want to position your next shot. As much as you want to stay clear of bunkers, there's something to be said about playable bunkers and sand. For a public course, bunkers are well placed, and add some excitement to the play. And the greens were fast the day we played.A bit over four hours to complete a round here. The pro shop and the practice areas are basic. The restaurant is not something I would stay too long for.Though a bit of a drive from downtown Boise, it was fun to play. A good time for the price.
In town for college move in day and decided to take my daughter golfing here. What a phenomenal public course. Those course is in wonderful shape. Stay very helpful for a group who has never played here. Will be back to play again.
It used to be okay. Its now just a beat up muni surrounded by houses--overpriced for the area. $16 for a 100 ball bucket HITTING OFF THE MAT?!Ridiculous. So they responded... with a lie. Mats on Monday and Tuesday only? I went out Saturday and they were hitting off the mats. I chipped a few and left.Okay... the Muni label was just a dig. We know you are privately owned and havea lovely clubhouse. By far the nicest of any public course in the Valley. The bartenders are great. Drink prices are very fair. The food is marginal. Boise Ranch and Lakeview are both plain jane inside, but both have much better food. And both are always busy while you are always empty.Your greens aren 't as good as the Munis in the area. I understand that with all the traffic you get, it 's a challenge. Still, I 'll take Ridgecrest. And compared to another privately owned course like Falcon or Shadow? Laughable.I 've played the course a ton. I could walk you through every hole. But not in over a year. Are you saying that has changed? Finally, I don 't know why you care about reviews. Your course is a mob scene every day there is decent weather. The lot is full even on weekdays. So is the range. Steady announcements "Next up is the Woods foursome, followed by the McElroy group with the Hovland single. "You 're getting all the traffic you can handle.I won 't add to the crowd. You 'll see me at Falcon, Shadow, Ridgecrest. Jug. McCall. All better choices, not surrounded by homes.Don 't tell people what kind of reviews to leave. If you look at my hundreds of reviews, you 'll see i am fair. Lots of five star ratings.Arguing is a failed strategy. Seriously: as a marketing manager for some of the biggest companies in the world, i advise you to find someone more experienced and knowledgeable to write your responses. Lots of people will read this and get irritated. Others will agree. Others will just laugh. It 's the internet. I can sit in my mom 's basement and write insults if I want to.
