My family of four, including our dog, had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Despite not having a reservation, we were warmly welcomed and given the option of dining indoors or outdoors. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the breathtaking views of Louden Hill. The waitress was very helpful in explaining the specials and menu items. I ordered the Haggis Bon Bon's, Sirloin Steak, and Sticky Toffee Pudding, all of which were delicious. My wife also enjoyed the Haggis Bon Bon's, with a sauce substitute offered to accommodate her preferences. The steak was cooked perfectly and came with a selection of sauces. The sticky toffee pudding was a standout dessert, and we also enjoyed other dishes like Carbonara, Pizza, and Chicken Balmoral. The service was attentive and the staff even provided water and a treat for our dog. The ambiance and setting were lovely, making for a memorable dining experience. We plan on returning in the summer when we visit Edinburgh again. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit for the great food, friendly staff, and stunning views.
This is a lovely place to visit and refresh yourself with some great food and a warm atmosphere. The food is all cooked fresh and served with a smile. A good selection to suit the large and small appetite and daily specials Thursday steak night is a must.
Stopped on spec and they were not actually open for another half hour but we were invited in anyway. We had intended just to have a quick coffee but the menu looked so good we decided to order. We actually ordered a selection of starters and they were delicious, reasonably priced and well presented. If you add to that the friendly welcome and good service all I can say is it's a gem well worth visiting
We celebrated a birthday on a weeknight at this restaurant. The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome, seating us next to the wood burner. We had booked in advance, so they were aware of the reason for our visit. The starters were delicious, the main courses (a pizza and a steak) were served promptly and in generous portions. The chef even took our son into the kitchen and taught him how to make pizza, allowing him to make one for a member of the staff. It was a lovely experience overall and we would definitely recommend this restaurant.
