Harvester - East Hampshire

The harvester used to be such a nice place to go.now the toast,breakfast bar are gone what next.I used to get good food now it’s just cheap and has fallen behind.

The restaurant experience was terrible. Although our waitress was very friendly, the food was disappointing. The salmon with chive mash was tasteless and the ratatouille was unimpressive. My husband and son had the chicken combo which was burnt and came with soggy chips. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

The food was the worst we have ever had. The three of us all had overcooked meat. My gammon steak literally curled up, it was so overcooked. The waitress was lovely and we got £10 off the bill. Will definitely not be going back again.

We have eaten at The Staunton Arms a few times in recent years, however this recent visit was awful. The serving staff were obviously overworked but were still very pleasant. However, the food was pretty awful. My partner ordered the chicken which arrived looking black and dry. When asked if all was satisfactory at the end of the meal, he told them that it was pretty awful and he was then only charged half price for his meal. My friend ordered the scampi with chips and peas. She didn't eat the peas because apparently they were cold. I had the rack of ribs which tasted fine but the meal was nowhere near up to the standard of previous visits. Sad to say but we won't be rushing back.

Salad bar which is wy most people go), was empty, and took a couple of people complaining before it was restocked, which also seemed take a long time. The food arrived and was lovely, then ordered a sweet ice cream) which took about 25 mins to be served, when it was it was served in a glass dish still hot from the dishwasher, so the ice cream was melting and difficult to eat/drink as it was served with a soup spoon in a small glass bowl. When trying to pay there was no one whatsoever, got fed up waiting so went to the bar to pay, where after another 10 minute wait with no one there, was just about to walk out when someone turned up apologising that it was busy...please sort out the staffing levels as a lovely meal spoiled only by the service, will be a long time before I am back!
