B-Bim-Baab Restaurant - Edmonton

This restaurant is fantastic! Wow, absolutely incredible.

At the suggestion of my sisters, my wife and I decided to join them for a Korean meal at B-Bim-Baab. We weren't sure what to expect.

Tucked away in industrial area off whitemud and 42ndDefinitely worth a goOpen from 5-10 pm and now includes lunch hours.

I struggle to find Korean restaurants that I enjoy, but this one wasn't too bad. I really enjoyed the chicken dish that I ordered.

Came here on a Saturday night with a friend. Read a lot of reviews and the general feel was "good food, bad service." No problem, we are both familiar with Korean food and not fussy about service. Place looked busy as expected of 7pm on a Saturday night. We walked in the door and there is a sign that says "Please wait to be seated," peeked inside and the place was pretty much full with a couple of small tables free, sure, we'll wait. Well we waited for close to half an hour, no one came to greet us, no one even came near the door. We stood there for so long that people eating there started to give us funny looks. Waiters and waitresses just gave passive glances at us and had no reactions of us trying to catch their attention. We ended up leaving and going to another place. This kind of ignorance is outrageous. I wasn't expecting a great service but at least someone to come and say "hello, we are busy, it should be about [insert time frame] wait." The general feeling we got was that we were clearly not wanted there. I can't speak about the food, judging by the many reviews I'm sure it is great. I won't be going back there but if you are and if you are reading this review, don't go on a busy night because your presence is clearly not welcomed.
