Guru Kitchen Downtown - Edmonton

This was my first time visiting any Guru restaurant, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect since Indian cuisine is relatively new to me. I have to say, this was some of the best Indian food I've ever tasted, and I'm already looking for excuses to return! I really liked the family-style ordering, which allows you to sample a variety of dishes and enjoy a more communal dining experience with your companions. The service was a bit slow, but given that there was an event happening at Roger's place across the street, I can't hold that against them. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'm very excited to come back!

The food and drinks here are consistently excellent, and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Overall, it was a good experience. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. However, I found it to be quite overpriced. I asked the bartender for a cocktail recommendation, and he offered to make me something special. When the bill arrived, I was shocked to see it was $35! I believe the bartender should have mentioned the price upfront, considering how high it was. This situation reflects a broader issue: the price-to-food quality ratio is simply not balanced, making it feel like you're paying too much for what you receive. While I enjoyed my visit, it would be a one-time experience for me, and I don’t plan on going back.

Love the idea and were looking forward to trying it out specifically Seitan's, however when we got there the Meat Shack and Oilburgers were the only kitchens open and also were told the Oilburger chef was away getting groceries... So tried the Meat Shack. The portions were just so small. Yam fries were 1/4 of what you usually get. I had the ribs which were tasty but left me hungry even with onion rings and coleslaw as sides. Later on we jealously watched the waiter bring big beautiful burgers to other tables as our hungry mouths watered.

Every! Single! Thing! was PERFECT! Food was delicious! Staff were super friendly! Drinks were outstanding! Vibe was awesome! Can't wait to go back!!!!
