The sushi is mediocre, I find it's a bit over priced for what you get. It was tasty, but I've had better sushi in Vancouver for a lot cheaper! Our server gave us the bare minimum of service. Doesn't mean she was bad but it was just average service. Might return because the sushi was okay.
We ordered some sushi dishes. The sushi taste not really very fresh, just decent. Also, the taste is more on the fusion side, not genuinely Japanese taste (e.g more like California roll style taste). The service is ok. Quiet restaurant too.
The traditional Japanese food is very fresh, tasty and well presented. They make an especially excellent miso soup. The restaurant is popular but in the busy, lively area of Strathcona it is nice to find a quiet restaurant.
Nothing that blew me away but decent sushi. The spider roll was not quite what I was used to, a different breading was used and it was grainier but it was still tasty. I am still looking for somewhere that offers fresh sea urchin. One of these days. Service got the job done for our group of 8. We ended up sharing lots of different rolls. The only one I couldn't try was the one made with beef, to Americanized for me!
