Smilie's Restaurant - Edmonton

Used to work across the street from this dinerNice little Chinese restaurant with some western options too.

I personally love ordering take-out from here. The food is always excellent and the portions are huge. A great place.

Have been getting take out from them for years but this was the last time.

While looking for another Chinese restaurant we came across Smilies and we're pleasantly surprised when we tried it for dinner. During the day, they have a buffet but in the evening you order off the menu. The decor is nothing special and typical of a strip mall type restaurant. We ordered three dishes along with steamed rice. Everything was fresh, very tasty, and the vegetables still crispy. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. Overall, I would say we made an excellent choice in trying Smilies and would definitely go back.

I'm a Hot & Sour soup snob. When I ordered it got LOADS of Tofuo little to none beef, veggies you have to hunt for BUT the flavor was there and their large was more like Med. Nothing like All Happy Family Rest still the best.
