Sorrentino's South - Edmonton

I ordered the half portion of the four cheese cream ravioli, while my niece opted for the full size fettuccine bolognese. Both dishes were absolutely delightful, although the ravioli was quite rich, so I took my time enjoying it. I will definitely choose the fettuccine next time. The service was excellent and prompt, and I highly recommend this place!

I've visited this restaurant a few times, and I've always enjoyed the food and service. However, this visit was slightly different from my usual experience. I placed my order and requested an extra side of olive oil and vinegar when the bread arrived. I had to ask a friendly busboy for it, but our server remembered shortly afterward. When my order came out, it was incorrect, but the food runner corrected it before leaving the table and even packed up the incorrect order for me to take home. The server then came by to apologize and informed me that my dish had been taken off the bill. While I didn’t enjoy the meal with my companions as I had anticipated, the staff really "put out the fire" before any issues escalated. They acknowledged the mistake and ensured I left the restaurant feeling satisfied with the service, the bill, and the food itself. I give Sorrentino’s South a solid five stars for their consistency, quality of food, and excellent customer service. Even though this visit wasn’t perfect, mistakes and off days can happen, and the staff handled everything so well that I didn’t feel the need to express my disappointment. I will definitely dine here again and am looking forward to my next visit!

The dinner options were excellent and the food was incredibly tasty! However, if you're in the mood for a traditional tiramisu, you might want to skip it here, as it's more like a cake.

I tried the chocolate chocolate desert and my friends tried various pizzas. The food was very average and the desert tasted old. The service time was incredibly slow which was disappointing since we were there on a Monday evening. The only positive was the waiter who was nice to us.

Have to say to start off that this review is based on a first time experience at this restaurant. This will have to sadly be my last time visiting as well. My business partner and I went into this location for a late lunch. I got the daily special which was pasta and a glass of wine, I decided to get the Carbonara since it is my favourite pasta dish. The pasta was so terrible! Definitely had to have been the worst Carbonara I ever had in my life! The sauce was watery, lacked taste and seasoning as well as being the most bland. Only thing I enjoyed was the Italian bread which I got upon sitting down. Not sure if it was a bad day or if the chef messed up the batch this time. But my business partner got the same meal and complained as well.
