Rodeo City -b-q - Ellensburg

We had a party to feed 40 people. We wanted only to provide the meat. Ribs and Chicken. Rodeo City, specifically Leann and Judith, bent over backwards to accomodate our needs. We were on the road near Ellensburg and heard tell of a Yellow Church restaurant. Drove around town but didn 't find it, SO we ambled into Rodeo City. The place has a cutesy western vibe with saddle seats at the counter and a lot of horsey decorations. The menu is quite simple, reminiscent of the old Chis and Pitts bbq joints. The food items we enjoyed were ribs, brisket and rib tips. They were all tasty and the price was right. The service was friendly and the table comfy. We met a couple of fellow diners in the parking lot and helped them push start their Harley. Not bad for a couple old timers!! We 'll be back!!!

Atmosphere is alright. Food was decent. I had brisket, baby back ribs, mac-n-cheese and a baked potato. The brisket was great, and the ribs were good. Potato was dry and not very special, and the mac-n-cheese was so so. The dinner roll was unimpressive. We had to ask for silverware after our food was delivered as we were never given any. My water glass ran empty and took several minutes to get a refill. Overall it was okay, but I probably won't come back except for maybe a plate of the brisket.

Been here a couple times. 1st time was ok, but this last time was good. Fast friendly service. We got sat quickly and our waters were delivered fast while we looked over the menu. We didn't get very many fries on our plates so the waitress brought us a side of fries to share at no charge. Family of 4 and all of us liked our food. That's rare when all 4 of us like our food. LOL! We all like that they give you BBQ sauce in a bottle. We all liked both flavors of BBQ sauce. The spicy BBQ sauce is good but not spicy. Even my wife who hates spice said that it wasn't spicy. I love spice so I was a little disappointed. Suggestion to RCBBQ Make another BBQ sauce and make it really spicy and only give it out to customers like me that ask for it. ; They gave us plenty of napkins and wet wipes as well. We will go back again.

If i could give a quarter star i would. Sauce on everything does not bbq make. The best part were the rib tips... once you squeegee all the sauce off. Brisket was dark and no smoke ring at all . Definitely wont be coming back again. Save your money and go get yourself a Mcrib!
