The food was wonderful, we all love it and the servings were perfect. My only problem was when my grandsons dinner wasn’t correct, another server came out and right off the bat definitely had a very defensive and abrasive approach to us just simply saying what he actually ordered and what he got. We were not rude or upset, he simply wanted shrimp. This lady, actually talked down to us and basically lectured us on the menu and then asked twice how she could make it right. Which that part was kind, all we wanted was a few shrimp for him since that’s what he ordered. We understand short staffing, and the cost of things these days, we just felt like we could have been approached much more kind and we were kind.
It smells weird inside. But the food is ok and the employees were nice. Same experience this year. Would go back.
I came here several times during our visit to Traverse City. They have a great menu, the food was on point, and the service is great. Their cherry pancakes are the best!
If you want a good homestyle meal in Traverse City, this is the place to go! Good prices, large portions, and friendly service. They serve breakfast all day, and that’s always my go-to! They’re well-known for their all you can eat perch, and while it wasn’t my favorite (a little bland and bony for me), it is extremely fresh and definitely worth trying if you like perch!
We (3 of us) had the liver/onions and meat loaf. The liver was fork tender and super delicious! The meatloaf was smothered with gravy and also delicious. The staff were all friendly and attentive (but not overly so). The place was clean with well spaced tables. We took Black Cherry Cobbler home (too full to eat it at the restaurant) it was amazing! Will definitely return!
