The Swan A Colombo Edition - Ely

Hard review to write purely because the staff are so nice and this pub could be so much more. Went for dinner and found the main course menu is relatively small and expensive. Expect to pay Cambridge prices in Littleport. I chose a burger and my other half had fish and chips. Both were nice enough but nothing outstanding. Dessert prices were crazily high and mine didn't come as advertised either. Such a nice pub in a lovely location but on a Fri night at peak dining time we were the only ones in the restaurant. Something clearly isn't working here. Make a less high end menu and take your prices down, maybe offer something different to the normal and people will come. As it stands I can understand why locals don't go as it's just out of most peoplea budget. The redeeming feature are the staff but I worry for their jobs given the quietness of the place unfortunately.

What a great experience at the Swan Hotel, the staff were lovely and so welcoming. I was not lacking anything. The breakfast was a bit expensive compared to what I usually pay at other similar hotels, but the rooms and service were excellent.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Wonderful food and the draught beer is usually good. Not enough real ale drinkers to warrant a decent ale unfortunately. Had a very succulent Roast Lamb and it was wonderful. Pinkish and the veg and roasties were lovely. Few changes of managers have caused a few issues, but overall, I'd recommend this place as they care about their customers.

What an awesome place to drink and dine. We had a superb time, the staff were great, and friendly and the decor was like you are in Cambridge, not in a village. The rooms overlook the river and have a balcony and looks well maintained and felt like top notch rather. Absolute hidden gem !

Great to have the Swan back open, looks great. Not tried the food yet, but popped in for two drinks on new year's eve and was surprised at the price increases from before £14 for a beer and a vodka and coke is pretty expensive for Littleport and our regular Friday nights out at our local pub will no longer be possible. Shame was looking forward to going back every week to start the weekend. Will now just have to be every now and then and maybe try the food at the same time.
