Michaelangelo's Pizza Subs

I'm shocked at the overall low rating for Michaelangleo's; I take Yelp reviews pretty seriously when trying to decide where to eat and almost skipped this place based on what I saw- so glad I didn't. Placed an order online during the super-busy Saturday evening of Memorial Day weekend and of course the restaurant was packed when I went in to pick it up. The staff was friendly, my food was ready when I arrived, and everything we got (two different pizzas, a sub, and mozz sticks) were piping hot and delicious. Our whole group was happy and would happily eat here again while we're in Emerald Isle.

Pizza was good, service not so much. Waited over 20 mins for a slice. Ordered a second slice and 20 mins later asked where slice was and the kid at cash register never put order in Also order white pizza and then told after 20 mins, they don't have white pizza Need to train the guys at register! Wouldn't go again

This was definitely not the MichaelAngelos that I have in Wilmington. I called to place my order and unordered a small cheese pizza and a chef salad. After I paid online I asked for an extra ranch because I forgot. He told me that he would have to rerun my card. I said that he didn't have to then. I was expecting homemade ranch if you are going to charge for it. The driver showed up with my pizza and salad. I opened the bag and there was no dressing at all! I called back and told them that I needed ranch for my salad. They brought it about 25 minutes later. It was a packet of really gross ranch. The chef salad was pitiful. Iceberg lettuce, some meat and some tomatoes and cheese.. No onions, croutons, or olives, etc. and it was small. The pizza was just average. Nothing special at all. I wouldn't order from here again.

Never had an issue with the service myself. Inside is ok. Pizza is good to us. We really like it. The stromboli is pretty good but I don't like how they put it in the oven for so long and then the top is so hard it's like a cracker. Overall, we eat here often and it's good enough.

First let me say it Thanksgiving holiday weekend on Emerald Isle when we were there .we went out a couple days before the holiday for the pizza dinner. The service professional and staffed was friendly and courteous. The pizza was OK nothing outstanding, but I would try it again.
