Meson Leonardos - Ensenada

Eating was good, typical authentic Mexican dishes. we have not waited long to serve and our waitress was very attentive.

Large small local restaurant with all classic Mexican dishes. good food, good service, great location directly on the main road, if the ruta del vino. leonardos has not the prospects or weinland vibe from other valley locations, but it is good local dishes. at a good price.

The coffee in the average. eating is okay. reasonable price. the service is not great. I had great expectations at this place, but I was disappointed.

We had breakfast at this place. It was very good and the portions are large. Lots of people and the prices are reasonable. The Traditional Apple Pie is the high point of this place.

They have been here for many years, just a few miles from Ensenada on Highway 3, right at the traffic signal in San Antonio De Las Minas. This would be 4 star in the USA, classy, beautiful, great food, nice staff. I generally get the...ribeye, about $13.00 USD, comes with a great lightly spiced gravy, mashed potatoes and veggies. A lot of people consider this a formal restaurant and dress that way. I wear my shorts and a t-shirt, either way is good and it is worth the short trip to get there. There are a couple good, less expensive restaurants on this stretch of road, all are good, a couple are great too. Further east is the brand new Wine Museum the government just finished building.
