Long times for dinner. The dishes arrived in alternating phases, so there were people waiting to eat while the others had already started. Back for the aperitif, there is no table service. I returned with friends for lunch, the waiter very slowly brought us the menus (the ashtray never arrived), we ordered a mozzarella in carrozza and a parmigiana which we had asked if he could already share with us (which didn't happen), a bottle of wine that arrived at the end which we then sent back because we had asked for it in white and the red one arrived even more so already open. two Gran Vesuvio sandwiches that arrived together with the appetizer but here too they brought us a sandwich for another... good all the same but it wasn't what we asked for... but we didn't think it was the case so as not to be seen as annoying customers . All in all everything was excellent, shame about the lack of attention from the waiter because obviously when you have guests that you bring around you always hope that the inconvenience doesn't happen. Spartan service, plastic glasses and plates for both water and wine. After a certain time the table service ends and the self-service for the aperitif begins. There is an appetizer, grilled and dessert side dish menu and water for 15 euros otherwise you order à la carte. There is the possibility of eating various appetizers with garden products, freselle and salads, plated meat and grilled sandwiches or with cheeses and cured meats. We tried to eat on Saturday for lunch but the place was totally disorganized, starting from ordering where the menu was handwritten on an incomprehensible piece of paper. Once we had ordered and paid a whopping €80, they told us that the dishes we requested were no longer there and they gave us the remaining things , bringing us still frozen fried foods and hard and inedible overcooked meat in the oven. We had ordered a slice from the menu... I attach a photo of a slice that looks like anything but a slice.
The only thing that deserves attention is the place where it is located, that is, on Vesuvius. Enough. The service cannot be evaluated because it is self service. If you want to cook on sight , which in my opinion is very nice, at least do it properly, because seeing the chef(? take pieces of bread and/or ham with his bare hands... I don 't know. I am a supporter of the circular economy, but using pieces of paper with something written on them as a napkin on which to place the bruschetta is unacceptable.
The place is spectacular and the bar is worth it just for this reason. The problem is that it doesn't offer much other than the view. Another flaw, although this is not their fault, is the difficulty in finding parking. A shame because the place is worth it but it would take more effort to make it 5 stars. Service: 2 Location: 5
