But the best we spent the next day the quiet sea and at breakfast we had the best attention of the staff. Emanuel made us feel as if we were at home thanks to the best holidays, he helped us in everything, in giving us information. Thanks Emanuel we will be back very soon; Thanks to all the staff for dinner and breakfast are very friendly
We arrived late after having a horrible experience with a previous hotel overbooking and turning us away (even though we had a paid itinerary). When we showed up, tired, and frustrated with our afternoon dealing with rebooking another hotel last minute, the front desk and manager were so welcoming, and accommodating, it made us realize we were at the right place to help us forget our horrible day. We upgraded to a Master ocean view suite. Wow! It was breathtaking! Listening to the ocean while enjoying a jet tub on you're private deck. I highly recommend this place for a comfortable stay in a beautifully decorated room on a quiet part of the beach. Delicious ocean front little restaurants within a few minutes walk down the beach... Or enjoy their onsite buffet/restaurant. Thank you again to the welcoming staff and Manager who personally made our stay amazing!
This is a little gem that I really can recommend for a relaxing holiday. The sea is just in front of the hotel. Every ground floor unit has a hammock. The restaurant has various food on offer and the service is friendly.
First things first, we asked a travel agent to help us book a hotel in Tulum because it was early July and there were very few beachfront places available. The agent went ahead and booked Los Lirios for us, and had to pay the full amount upfront so cancellation was not an option. Before anything else, be warned DO NOT VISIT TULUM IN THE SUMMER There seems to be a new phenomenon over the last 3 years of seaweed washing ashore in the summer. This means you cannot appreciate the beach (full of mounds of seaweed which are quite smelly) and you cannot swim in the brown waters (which are usually crystal clear and pristine). Now to start with the positives The rooms are decently sized, the AC worked, the bathroom was decent and the beds are super comfy. That's about it. The negatives The room does not have a fridge or a TV, there's no Wifi in any of the rooms only at the reception, and there's no mobile connectivity or phones in the room. So if you're with friends, the only way to communicate and coordinate is to yell. The rooms have a hammock outside but lying on it is equivalent to walking a tight rope. The facilities are archaic The safe has an insert with a key (no code) and we read a few reviews that mentioned theft from their rooms so we avoided it all together. The restaurant that serves breakfast offers A) Scrambled eggs and bacon, B) French toast. That's it. Both options are average tasting. The place is wonderfully located and with better management it could be such a great hotel, but unfortunately it falls way below the mark if you compare it to the other places on the beachfront hotel stretch.
