They feature a large menu with much variety, though food quality can vary from time to time. Ambiance is passable, not over the top or bare bones. Service is kind of bare bones though. You get what you need but not much else.
We typically eat lunch here. My wife gets the Chicken Lo Mein. I get the Moogoo Gai Pan. Both are lunch specials fpr $7.45. The food is always fresh, hot, and plentiful. The staff is thoughtful and friendly.
Went on Friday at 3 pm. When we went in there was just one table being served. We were quite surprised since the shared parking lot was quite full. We enjoyed the Empress Chicken and Mongolian Beef. Pricing I would say is reasonable for the portions. Most people will probably be needing go boxes. Will definitely be back.
Edit. I have not been here in 10 years. Our favorite place in our new area close down recently so we tried China wok again. Pretty decent American style Chinese food. The sauces are good enough and the portions are plentiful. The lunch specials are around eight dollars which given this time with inflation is a welcome sight. The service is pretty rude though. The man on the phone had limited English and hung up on me when I tried to change something. He was pretty abrasive when I picked up the food but it wasn't just me, he was abrasive to everybody. I seem to see that over and over again on these reviews. I know what they can do to alleviate the English barrier. They don't have their lunch specials numbered. It would be a lot easier to say number 16, hot and sour soup, eggroll.
Best pork fried rice in St. Louis!!! Service is always pretty quick for take out or sit down.
