Desalvo's Pizza - Evanston

Best NY pie in Chicago area.I used to live in Manhattan, and also used to live in Logan Sqaure where Chicago tries to imitate New York pizza.DeSalvo's NY slice is better than anything I've found in Chicago in that NY slice category.Also, great Detroit style slices. I wish they would allow me to order those Detroit-style pies online. (Maybe a 4-corner)Also, the garlic knots are solid, and the marinara dipping sauce is the top of all time.

Delicious thin crust pizza. Super fresh ingredients. Just the right amount of cheese (which is not too much). Love the vibe of the restaurant though I’ve only gotten carry out. Cute raccoon mascot tshirts but no stickers yet. My favorite for pizza.

Fantastic pizza by the slice. Plenty of choices. The Detroit style is a winner by far.

Sweet neptune! where was this pizza my whole life?! beautiful pizza in a really good atmosphere. service is friendly and fast, and eating well. the teig here is perfect, a good amount of chewing gum and crispy. it is thin crust without being too gay, and there is a generous amount of crust for those who enjoy crust. true jewel of a local owned and operated place.

Fantastic pizza! Crust and sauce are really enjoyable and I love the toppings choices. Special pizzas have been too notch. Looking forward to trying the other items like sandwiches. The special vegetable and salads are really great and I appreciate thinly sliced veggies. Great house made dressing too. The brownies are excellent as well. They have this boxes brownie flavor that brings me back to a kid. Seems like anything John does is a hit!
