We traveled from calais to toulouse and decided to stop in evreux. we chose the hotel normandie as it was close to the city center and also offered a parking space at a very cheap price. our room is located in the 2nd floor and had a...canny bed. However, the bed was very firm for us and we would prefer a slightly softer matratze. the temperature in the room was quite high, without opening other options than a window, which then made the room loud by the traffic noise from the outside. all the facilities in the room were good with tea and coffee. great shower and water pressure with lots of hot water. the breakfast consisted of traditional French fayre, with much everything. a beautiful traditional French hotel with an attentive owner. I'm sure they'll stay here.
Longstanding local favorite. Classic Normandy dishes prepared to perfection. Attentive but not overbearing service. Staff speaks minimal English but did a great job handling non French speakers. Parking available in center court yard. Wheelchair accessible.
A very nice, semi-concrete building, a cheerful welcome and many parking lots were a good start in our stay. the environment was attractive and it was easy to go to the city to admire the cathedrale. we had a nice room with comfortable beds, a choice of bedclothes, tea maker, many towels and of course a bathroom. this was the only disappointment since there was no place to perch the showerhead. a 'shower' involved sitting in the bath and holding the showerhead! probably this was just in our room, others need to be better. we also ate in the hotel restaurant and had an excellent meal. the principal looked a little dour, but was cheerful and efficient. we would stay here definitiw again!
A very welcoming and friendly old hotel, and a good overnight in the direction south of le tunnel. the recipeist was charming, spoke a little English, and with our little French we have done very well. the room was in the second floor of the. very old buildings, and with the temperature in the nineties we were worried that it would be like a sauna! we were pleasantly surprised to find a large, newly renovated room, with two very large windows, a comfortable bed and beautifully decorated. there was a welcome tablet and free wlan that was easily accessible. the bathroom and separate wc were also re-equipped and stylishly tiled, with a large deck bath with a shower unit. unfortunately the restaurant was closed for renovation, but it was possible to sit outside on the terrace with a drink, and parking was safe on the back of the hotel for 5 euro. we would break our journey there again.
