Jungle Subs is inside Jungle Jim's International Market, a pretty doggone unique place regardless of where you live, let alone Cincinnati. What's great about this sub-shop/deli crossover is that they use totally fresh Boars Head meat and they offer great options with some of the freshest ingredients anywhere. I don't know of another deli anywhere nearby which offers smoked gouda for your cheese option, or pumpernickel for your bread. Jungle's also offers some unique custom sandwiches such as The Matterhorn, The Montezuma, The Jungle Club and The Gorilla which pile on the toppings and offer unique and tasty flavor combinations. In the past I've also tried their chili dogs which come in three styles and are really good! I've been frequenting this shop for the past couple weeks and have also had some of the soups (Italian Wedding, Chicken Pot Pie and the Boars Head Chili) which I have found to be unexpectedly high quality and well worth the extra money. If you find yourself nearby you should really drop in and grab a sandwich and maybe some soup. You won't regret it.
