They were so accommodating, providing us with a back corner table adjacent to an extra table for the gifts. Our waitress, Kayla, took super care of us! Despite our staggered arrival times, we all had ice water and did not wait for our cocktail order to be taken. We were encouraged to take our time, which we did, despite it being a busy lunch hour. We did eventually eat lunch and everyone was beyond pleased with their meal choice. In all the merriment, I only photographed my own, which was the Scallop Seaweed Salad. A generous portion of perfectly pan seared scallops adorned a bowl of wakame seaweed, tossed with sesame oil and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Each scallop had a spot of hot sauce on top. The seafood was fresh and the flavors worked well together. I truly enjoyed it and finished every bit. The other meals were equally enjoyed and plates cleaned in short time. We stayed about two hours, playing a game and exchanging gifts, Yankee Swap style. We made quite a bit of noise and a bit of a mess. Kayla was encouraging, efficient, good humored and patient. She was awarded with a role in the game and even awarded a prize for her wonderful service. The next time you're in the New Bedford or Fairhaven areas, do yourself a favor and stop by. Tell Kayla I said hello!
Fantastic food service and drinks. Right on the water. Love the lit glass bar top. Casual. Great food selection.
We came here after reading great reviews. It's a very bar centric place a local dive bar feel, instead of a restaurant on the water. Our server was nice. The clam chowder was great, the honey scallops were good, but the crab cakes weren't good at all. They were too heavily seasoned and didn't have many crab pieces. The bathroom floor was sticky.
I really liked this place! We came for a nice little family dinner and the food was delicious. They have lots of good options. It was a bit loud and crowded but honestly that was only because there was a game on and I was told it isn't usually like that so I would definitely recommend stopping in!
Just a magnificent restaurant here on the edge of New Bedford. It's one of those places that you don't want to talk too much about because you're worried they might not have a seat for you next time. But the scallops here may very well be the best we have ever had anywhere in the world. Super sweet and just outrageously fresh. You feel like you're out on the boat catching them, and we have been in here several times already, trying them in every different way possible. The taste is the same, simply spectacular. The atmosphere at the restaurant is mind blowing, you are right next to the bridge that has allowed scallopers in and out of New Bedford harbor for more than 100 years and it is literally right in front of you. You could not ask for a better seat. The servers and bartenders are similarly just fantastic. There's no other way to be more clear about their service. You are not really taken care of until YOU are ready to be. It's a stunning treatment, and not at all what has become the normal in places these days. We simply cannot recommend this place any higher. We wonder how much we are even able to rate other places anymore because they have clearly made their place THE one to stop for.
