Mmmm… But I’ve often had ones that are much more basic. While still one of the cheapest items on their breakfast menu, at $8, I wasn’t expecting it to be so generous that you can’t pick it up to eat with your hands. I did order an add-on of haloumi for $4, and the slightly, rubbery texture of the haloumi, which I quite like was a surprisingly match for the slightly chewy quality of the toasted Turkish bread. I thought it was sensational.
Fernside is a bit of a general cafe but not in a bad way. It’s actually nice to have it in an age of hipster cafes with funky concepts. The service is friendly and the location makes it cosy. I had the haloumi sandwich on focaccia bread (love the old schoolness of focaccia bread). It was cooked perfectly and so delicious. I would happily return!
Nice place Great coffee Friendly service Quiet and peaceful midweek Fresh food great options Had the eggs bene yum with brioche option
Great neighborhood hidden gem serving up good coffee in a cosy little venue on Cleveland Street. I liked the service here and the food is decent as well.
Have walked past this cafe a thousand times, been three times now and what a little gem. Their coffee is good, service friendly and attentive. The veggie breakfast was massive and yummy. Corn fritter, tomato, spinach, halloumi, baked beans, toast and eggs any style. So good!
