The ham and cheese croissant (strangely labelled as a danish) had good ingredients and flavours and had been properly baked in advance (too many lately have been barely warmed over) yet still had the flakiness of a good croissant. The pies are bursting at the seams and only $6. The coffee was ridiculously creamy and too cold but it had a decent flavour and was well priced.
I swear I've been to Newtown like 6 or 7 times and never noticed this cafe before so I popped in to try the coffee. They had a large range of sweets and slice's too, nothing grabbed me. Coffee was nice, would get a takeaway if I passed through again.
Cute little King Street cafe on the St Peters end of Newtown. Friendly service, good coffee and simple but delicious menu. Breakfast fave is the avocado on toast perfectly seasoned with salt, pepper, a dash of olive oil and a squeeze of lemon and also a good selection of pies for lunch.
Love this little cafe! Prices are awesome! Great value for money. They make everything on site, super fresh! <br/ <br/ I've sampled a few of their pastries and cakes and have loved them all. They do a damn good decaf coffee too. <br/ <br/ Highly recommend as a place to sit down and enjoy a quick or long coffee and pastry. Yet to try their meals but I'm sure they'll be just as great!
I'd love to take there bread all the time. I'm one of the people who is already addicted from Petunia's bread. It's always fresh and rich. They make all products by themselves. Believe me and you should try it. You are gonna be addicted too!
