A&W Restaurant - Fernie

The drive-thru service at this restaurant has always received great reviews. Due to COVID, the staff is currently limited. The food has consistently been delicious, except for the onion rings, which have recently become overly salty.

We stopped for lunch on our way through and were disappointed by the cleanliness of the restaurant. All the tables were dirty and the garbage cans were overflowing with trash, both inside and outside the restaurant. There was food on the benches and one of the stalls in the women's washroom was closed due to a lack of toilet paper. The overall cleanliness was poor and it seemed like it had not been cleaned in a long time. Despite the good food and friendly staff, it was evident that proper cleaning procedures were not being followed. It appears that there is a lack of good management in place.

The restaurant only had employees working, tables were dirty, and it took over minutes to receive my food. This was the worst experience I've ever had at A&W.

Ordered up Mama burger because it was on special. Otherwise I wouldn't have even stopped as I was heading to the McD's. Great burger, asked for extra Mayo (no problem), swicthed the fries for Onion Rings for extra. The onion rings were nice and...hot. For some reason the Onion Rings were very salty. Great Diet Root Beer. Not a big fan of the paper straw. Overal great staff, very friendly complete with nice hot food. Will go back but not likely to get the onion rings at this particular A&W.

I went to A&W last night for supper. They had no hand sanitizer or spray sanitzer for the tables. I will not eat here ever.
