Fundamentally, the Timur curry with lamb I tried was a very unusual flavour. It's was very nice actually. Slightly naturally sweet like a korma but brown and no added sugar like many Kormas are faked. But. A curry. That has large pieces of lamb that are over cooked or under cooked however you want to take it. Was plain wrong. The meat was hard. I could never serve a curry with hard meat. I would cook it slowly for a long time or hard until meat was tender. Very very poor. The mushroom rice was nice. The Ghurka beer a must try. Very smooth. Staff were polite. I told two of them when they asked that the lamb was under cooked, both smiled and quickly exited. Lip service only. I was presented the beer with glass and bottle. Perhaps the young waiter was new. But I would have preferred it poured. Or at least that they asked if id like it poured. They had a very much feel of almost silver service especially how deferent the staff were. But think it was a bit of show really. The restaurant was very posh for a Indian restaurant. Ambiance was very nice. Thoroughly disappointed by the cooking of the curry.

Went there with my husband and daughter for a belated birthday meal. Very kind courteous and attentive staff, food was really good, there was a large party there and lot's of babies and toddler's, which the manager spoke to us about before booking, it was nice to see a happy family atmosphere. Absolutely delicious authentic Nepalese food. Probably the best take away weve had from this area. The Kathmandu lamb curry was incredible! And the momos delicious. Highly recommend. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5
