We went with a group of 8 and were seated and waited on promptly. We requested a private room and after some confusion we got the room. One thing that stood out was our server Miles. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He was friendly and professional. We will deuce back and hopefully Miles will be there.
Good pub food and great beer selection. This place hit the spot when we arrived late to Pittsburgh. Not much was open late at night but this place was and it hit the spot. We started with the Buffalo Chicken Dip and Pretzel Bites. Needed more dip but both were pretty good. Next up was the Smokey Wings. These were terrific. Had a couple bites of the fried chicken sandwich but it was just ok. The kung pao cauliflower has potential to be awesome but it needs more kick. The peanut butter snickers pie was awesome. The server was nice and place was clean and bright. Would come back for a game anytime.
This is the second time I went because it has a great location, cool vibe and good looking menu. Unfortunately, both times the food was mediocre and did not fit the description. The crab fondue had no crab and was soupy. The sandwiches were just okay and my daughter's fish tacos were dry as can be. The best thing going for it was our server. I wish I could remember his name. This place has so much potential but needs a kitchen overhaul.
Stopped in with my son while attending the motorcycle races near Pittsburgh. Cool downtown location with indoor/outdoor seating and a generous menu. We each had a couple beers with dinner and enjoyed ourselves. The waitstaff was very nice, and super prompt and friendly. The manager even provided us with complimentary pretzel knots when he learned we were there for the first time. Overall a very enjoyable evening, highly recommend it when you're in Pittsburgh.
I hadn't been to City Works for dinner before and there were so many things in the menu I wanted to try. Everything our party got looked and tasted great. The crab fondue was a bit too goat cheese heavy for our tastes, but still good. The Ahi tuna taco was so good! The sauce was great and the tuna was so good! The beers/ciders weren't really cold, which was annoying. Of course, that could have been due to the pretty bad service. Tho we asked for them a couple times, we never got appetizer plates. If also took a few requests to get water abs there were no refills to be found. It was fairly busy, but I've had much better service at busier restaurants. I like the layout and look of the restaurant and I'm positive we'll return.
