I got a plate with portions of 6 or 7, plus a suppe. there were noodles, finest, various vegetable medleys and pieces sweet potato, all with light sauces. the sheer variety of sweets, drilling and pulsing on my teller was different than anything I had in my three months in china. nothing fritted or damped in forgetfulness, no errant pieces of meat to get. only crispy, good-hearted, pungent with taste. the payment for the meal was initially somewhat unclear. When I asked two of the employees/volunteers there, I was told that there were no costs. from this puzzle, and others saw, were stuffed in a box at the servierstation, I dug a bit deeper and found out that it was donating an 8rmb. at such a price this is still cheaper than a meal in most other local restaurants, yet it tastes better and feels much healthier than the sometimes served perfunctory. because of the atmosphere of the place and the eating itself, it is safe to say I will eat regularly in zhenru. updated by previous review on Sunday, 03 November 2013 updated by previous review on Sunday, 03 November 2013
I and my hubby often eat in this restaurant, it is really healthy eating, not oily as in ordinary restaurants in guangdong cousin. price is ¥10 per person. there are always easily roasted needle noodles, sourcing, about 4 to 5 options from various sweet dishes, steamed rolls, sweet potatoes, tiny maispant cakes, two types of suppe. if they do not feel satisfied, they can always ask to add more food on their teller for free. very friendly owner, always polite and nice with us. I recommend this place definitiw.
Located just a 2-minute walk from Guicheng Metro stop, across from the busy CapitaMall, is a wonderful little restaurant. The limited opening hours are most likely due to the fact that the ingredients are prepared fresh for each meal, possibly by a group of volunteers. Upon arriving an hour before the 5pm opening, I saw a diverse group of people joyfully chopping and preparing vegetables in the main dining area. The restaurant has a Buddhist theme, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. When I returned at 5.30pm, the restaurant was already full, but I was kindly invited to join a family at their table. The food was completely plant-based, and appeared to be dairy-free as well. Although the restaurant is listed as a buffet, diners are served a plate of food consisting of various dishes and a soup. The dishes included noodles, barley, mixed vegetables, and sweet potatoes with light sauces. The freshness and variety of vegetables on my plate was unlike anything I had experienced during my time in China. The meal had a suggested donation of 8rmb, making it a affordable and delicious option compared to other local restaurants. The overall experience at Zhenru was so enjoyable that I will definitely be returning on a regular basis.
My husband and I often dine at this restaurant, which offers healthy and non-greasy food, unlike many other restaurants in the Guangdong region. The price is ¥10 per person. They always have slightly fried needle noodles, grain rice, 4 to 5 different vegetable dishes, steamed buns, sweet potato, tiny corn pancakes, and two types of soup available. If you're still hungry, you can ask for more food at no additional cost. The owner is very friendly, polite, and pleasant with us. I highly recommend this restaurant.
