French River Inn

I called them to see if they have food options that I could eat (salad... just like everywhere else has fries and meat). The guy who picked up did not announce the business name, so I asked if I had the right number and he said yes; I asked if they had salad and he told me abruptly / rudely that they were closed as if I were stupid to ask. I apologize to the owner for trying to do business to them... ... considering that it is listed as a 24/7 location. I will not support them on my journeys in the future as he had 0 decor.

Everyone should stop at the French River Trading Post. Not for years, it's historical. Nice shop, and make sure you buy the fudge. Good selection of Mokassinen, so that of course I came out with a pair and some fudge. Great stop to stretch your legs before continuing on your trip.

The restaurant looks great but unfortunately now appears to be temporarily closed due to Covid. Hopefully it opens again soon but no signs indicating this.

Had to stay in one of the rooms because of a sick child and while the owner was kind it was a complete hell hole. Dirty linens and bugs. What a nightmare. Does public health know about this???
