This is my go-to place because Collins is just too far to drive to. Now. Here's the secret for catfish, order it COOKED SOFT. Otherwise they cook it hard by default, which is not good at all. In fact, the first time I had it I didn't know about that. Because most places cook soft as the default. So the first time I had it I was not impressed. And then I saw some reviews and someone mentioned it. So I gave it another try. And now I know the secret of getting good catfish. I'm not sure about the other fishes because catfish is the only fried fish I like.. you can even order the fries cooked soft which I think are a little bit better too. Maybe someone should just tell them stop, NOT cooking everything soft. In fact, if someone wants hard they need to ask for it hard. It's fish, not chicken.

I love their jumbo shrimp lunch. It's always fresh and flavorful. I'm not a big tartar sauce person, but J's tartar sauce is bomb diggity!

I eat here pretty often so the food is pretty good. I ask for crispy, paperbag color or darker sometimes they get close depending whose cooking. But never order the macaroni salad always spoiled.
