L'Oncle Ho Restaurant - Gatineau

I did not expect much walking in. We were greeted with smile. Small buffet without a lot of choice... But what was there was fantastic! Veg were NOT overcooked, everything was very well prepared and delicious! The lone waitress was busy, but not too busy to be polite and friendly!

Excellent Restaurant. Nice atmosphere, wonderful people and great tasting food..

I have been eating here pretty much since they opened, when I was just a kid. Is it fancy? No. Is it expensive? No. Is it haute cuisine? No. But it is satisfying, affordable, not an enormous buffet of hundreds of things you'll never touch. Their food has been consistent for decades and I still go there regularly for comfort food.

Good food, nice buffet, well priced. Parking issues though. They will spend a good portion of the night outside watching over their parking to make sure people don't park at their restaurant and eat at their competitor which is right next door (Canton) but truthfully they can't do nothing about it except trying to intimidate the Canton customers but it doesn't work.

We sat near the buffet table and near the back close to the kitchen, so we could see alot.....the only waitress was trying hard to serve, clean tables, make sure the buffet has enough food, she also had to work the cash....man, this poor waitress could hardly keep up.....I could hear the chinese people in back laughing and having fun, they would check on her once in awhile, but never help her......the food was if'fish.....didn't really look appetizing......but, we ate....a little......the egg rolls were good......I saw a dirty dark brown carpet, old and tired furniture and gummy.....there were piles and piles of dirty dishes on tables and near the kitchen, on tables......anyways, I'm not gping there again.
