But the pizza Speziatella I had was quite fat, I guess they just put a lot of oil on them instead of Mozzarella. The menu is only on the internet and very to use a pain because there are tons of options.
We went to dinner, and it was insanely crowded with half the staff (including all the kitchen staff) not wearing masks, children ran like crazy without anyone stopping them, tables very close together. If it wasn't very late, without other possibilities, I would have felt very comfortable all the time. Regarding food, there are some vegan options, not very exciting. I just got the veggie pizza without cheese, and it was good, but certainly not knocking off my socks.
I love her dough, so I always go for a simple marinara pizza. Great atmosphere. Quality ingredients
Luigia used to be an icon of delicious food, excellent drinks and friendly (I mean really friendly, not I-am-friendly-because-you-give-me-a-large-tip... pizzeria in Geneva. I went tonight and the pizza was burned half, I had to ask three times for the wine, and the dessert was...less than average. Sad, really sad! In fact, I was surprised when I arrived, on a Saturday night you usually had to wait 30 minutes, today many tables were empty. I understand why. Maybe they were burned by early success and simple money. Now we lost the icon. Three stars are a generous assessment if it were not for the good memories, they would have two.
For a few years, I have come to the restaurant Luigia in Petit Saconnex (Genf) with my family and sports team. In November 2022 my team and I went to Luigia on our usual Wednesday evening. We had a pleasant evening, even if the Risotto sections were...served were surprising – baby size, something the restaurant corrected by doubling the portions after we showed our surprise. While this could be forgiven, a second edition, this time with the bill at the end of the evening was less "palatable". It turned out that the bill contained several dishes not consumed (main dishes and desserts we never had). The supplement amounted to CHF 70. When we were facing the waiter, he went away with a corrected invoice, but no excuse or offer of a drink or similar. We paid the right amount and went. However, it reminded us of a seemingly similar event that had taken place a few weeks earlier, but we had not thought so strange at that time. At that time we came back in a group on a Wednesday evening, but this night we went all ‘Dutch’; each put their bill on the one hand. Surprisingly, the last person ended a “left over” of CHF 100, a ridiculous amount for a person. Since not everyone had gone at the same time, the unfortunate colleague could not check this, so paid and gone. Following these two unpleasant cases, I wrote Luigia in Petit Saconnex a letter in which I discovered the problems and asked them for an explanation. I left the letter in her mailbox on November 13th. I never got an answer. On 8 December, I forwarded this letter to Luigias General Management in Geneva. To date, I have not received any reply. Just silence. Of course, the food at Luigia is over for me, my family and my team. Whatever they did during this period is little compared to what they did when they normally treated us and showed a minimum of accountability and concern after I reported the incidents. Silence here is anything but gold. So, check the bill before you pay everything because it can pamper the whole idea of eating a good meal.
