Panera Bread - Germantown

My daughter had the macaroni and cheese and a lemonade and got food poisoning. She was sick for an entire week with vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and stomach pain. My fiancé was able to investigate as a certified food safety manager and my private investigator. He discovered that the cheese sauce was not being heated/cooled properly and improper handwashing.We’ve always liked Panera Bread, I’ve been taking her there since she was 2 (she’s 14 now). It’s a shame that this happened because of people not doing their jobs properly. She was really sick and people can die from food poisoning, it’s not something to take lightly.

Always get the same thing Mediterranean Sandwich, tomato soup, Greek Salad (no olives), or a smoothie and maybe a croissant.

Ordered a bacon, egg and cheese bagel. Received bagel with 1.5 strips of tiny bacon. Bacon did not cover 1/2 the sandwich. Went to counter and was told this is what corporate was directing them to do. Told manager they should advise of this before selling product so a customer that wants to actually taste the bacon can opt to pay more for “extra bacon.” All he said to me was “you can do this next time.”Needless to say Panera just lost my corporate business. We have a breakfast meeting they were to cater this week. I will be canceling that order and choosing another company.Poor choice on part of Panera not to just raise the cost slightly to give the customary three slices of bacon on the sandwich. Poor management interaction with a legitimate customer concern. Too many other choices in this world for food. We will go elsewhere moving forward.If MacDonalds can make a bacon, egg and cheese McMuffin for $1 2 a sandwich and still give at least 3 slices of bacon… why can’t Panera do so charging 3xs that amount or approximately $6 7 a sandwich?

This one is actually pretty good. The staff are polite and have good manners. They don't get an attitude if they have to correct an order and are always willing to go the extra mile for the customer. The place is clean and kempt as well.
