Zappone's Italian Bistro - Gilbert

Great Italian food! I definitely give Zappone's Italian bistro 5 stars. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. We got our food served quickly and it was piping hot and really good! I appreciate that we were able to substitute the side dish of pasta with whatever vegetable the chef had for the day. And the sauteed zucchini for absolutely out of this world! We were visiting from out of town, and have recommended this restaurant to our friends that live in Gilbert.

This place is MUCH more than your typical pizza joint. A family owned and operated bistro with incredible good food and very well priced. The service was very personal and the staff made the visit was very pleasant. We highly recommend this place and we lucked out not knowing it was Wine down Wednesday when a bottle of ny wine is 1/2 off standard pricing. BTW It 's very clean and nicely decorated.

A good friend and former server recommended Zappone?s and it was a GREAT recommendation. They were able to accommodate our large party of about 15! We tried almost every appetizer (Calamari, Mozzarella Balls and Bruschetta) they were all AMAZING. Their CHIANTI BRAISED BEEF Spaghetti Meatballs (I added Italian sausage as well) was delicious. We will definitely be back and it was so worth our 45 minute drive to Gilbert!!

Excellent food, large portions and lots of wonderful menu choices. The house Chianti is delicious. Love the quaint family ambiance. Very enjoyable. I think I?ve found my new favorite Italian bistro!!
