Miss Aspen's Mercantile - Gore

Everything was great! The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the service was quick. The place was clean, and you could tell that they put a lot of care into preparing the meals. It’s been ages since I had a chicken fried steak this tasty!

Miss Aspen's was a delightful surprise in a small town. The welcoming rocking chairs on the spacious front porch set a cozy atmosphere, and the mercantile offered a nice selection for browsing and shopping. The staff was sweet and friendly, providing excellent service alongside delicious food. The menu was more extensive than I had anticipated, but since we arrived about 40 minutes before closing, we opted for the classic cheeseburger and fries to keep things simple. It certainly did not disappoint. We will definitely return to dine with them again.

First of all, I really appreciated how friendly the staff was! The place has a charming atmosphere, and next time I visit, I'll take some time to check out the merchandise since I only did a To-Go order this time. I ordered a classic cheeseburger, which my husband really enjoyed when he got home from work, especially after I heated it up in the air fryer. I also got the kids' grilled cheese, which was generously buttered on both sides—something I loved. However, it was made with processed cheese (I think it was Velveeta), and I usually try to avoid that, but it was still tasty. I do wish they had a veggie burger or more vegetarian options, but at least I can count on the grilled cheese sandwiches. I definitely plan to return, and this time, I'll bring my husband with me!

Exceptional food! This place is truly a hidden gem. It's a wonderful family-owned business. They warmly welcomed us when we arrived and had the perfect table ready for us. Their menu is extensive, featuring delicious homemade dishes and cherished family recipes. I tried the Spicy Peanut Butter Chicken Chunks, and it was absolutely divine! The restaurant is spotless, service is quick, and the staff is incredibly friendly. We definitely plan to return. Plus, there's ample parking available for RVs or larger vehicles. Parking: Ideal for RVs and big rigs! Kid-friendliness: They have a lovely kids' menu and were very kind to our little one.
