Rupinder Singh has been in the restaurant business for the last 40 years. Back in 1984 he had started along with his partners a small restaurant named Chinaman in 4 Bungalows, Versova. The restaurant was an immediate hit as it served authentic Chinese food at a very reasonable price. There were two more reasons for the success of Chinaman. The first was the unique address sported by the restaurant. It said Four and a half bungalows. The second was the dedicated service given by Rupinder himself to every guest. He made it a point to know the taste of every one of his customers. Chinaman closed down but Rupinder continued with another partner to start many multi cuisine restaurants. Urban Tadka, Pop Tates and Legacy of China still are know for his stamp on them. Rupinder has now revived Chinaman. This time it is a kitchen where you can order food for home delivery. The price is still reasonable and the quantity is enough for a small family. The area of operation right now is Malad to D.N. Road. One phone and piping hot food is on your table. And the food is excellent. Whether you try the starters, or the main course meals, one meal here and you will not eat Chinese food in any other restaurant.
I really enjoy the Chinese food at this restaurant. The noodles, soup, and fried rice are all delicious.
This small Chinese restaurant offers a wide variety of food, and the Chinese chili cheese pakora is delicious and also healthy.
