Cascades Restaurant & Bar - Goulburn

The photo above is of a 'private dining' area. The main Cascades Restaurant is much more appealing. Recommend travellers try it.

This an amazing restaurant. The best oysters and steak. The Chefs can adjust anything according to taste or allergies. I look forward to my meals whenever I am there. I never dine in as the ambience is great in the restaurant. The staff always make you feel like your not a solo dinner which is so nice. Very good selection of wines at great prices.

Lots to choose from. Great food and the quick service. Cascades is the restaurant of the Best Western hotel, It is not often that I dine in hotel owned restaurants, this was a great exception. We loved the coffee, good strength and the right temperature.

Being local we only visited this restaurant for lunch on the back of a gift voucher and were not sure what to expect. Located within a motel the restaurant is well appointed and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our first look at the menu suggested a bit of an identity crisis, a combination of burgers, pizza and al a carte selections, the menu itself was strange in that it was something that resembled a cheap Chinese restaurant, you know the one with bright photos of each dish on offer.The food itself was a mixed bag, the entree of scallops was perfectly cooked but my salmon was overdone, my wife's pulled pork burger was not bad but the smoked trout salad was ok, something I would knock up at home. The wine list was small with few choices.The question is, what are you trying to be, burger joint, pizza bar, fine dining....... it seems to do everything sort of okay but not great, if they could just work out what they wanted to be and do it well it could be 4-5 stars.Is it worth a visit ? if your staying at the motel probably yes, would you rush back? probably not. Goulburn struggles for choice in good dining options and this place does not help. It's okay but I would not rush back in a hurry

Fantasic cant stop talking about the Night ....Xmas Dinner Buffet was just Great..Roasts,Xmas Dinner all you can eat....and Prawns Dessert,Lollie bar for the little ones....Services AAA Food AAA....Company AAA...Drinks AAA Price AAAAAAAAAAAAA.
